The short version: I'm one person collecting waitlist signups. I ask for as little as possible, I don't sell it, and I don't run 3rd partytrackers. Here are the details.

What I collect

When you join the waitlist, I collect your email address, your first name (if you give one), the topics and features you pick in the quiz, and anything you type into the optional feedback box. That's it.

I don't collect payment details, and there are no third-party trackers on this site.

Why I collect it

Your email is how I reach you when there's room to join. Your name is just so I can say hello properly. The quiz answers and feedback go straight into deciding what to build first — they genuinely shape the product.

How I use it

I use your email to send you a confirmation and, later, an invitation when tendril launches. I read the quiz answers in aggregate to prioritize features. I will never sell your email address or your answers.

Who I share it with

To run the waitlist I rely on a few trusted providers, who only process this data on my behalf and can't use it for their own purposes:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — sends the confirmation and welcome emails (via Amazon SES) and hosts the server.

• Neon — the database that stores your signup.

• Cloudflare — serves the site, manages DNS, and runs the anti-spam check on the signup form.

I never share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

How long I keep it

I keep your signup until Tendril launches and you've either joined or asked to be removed. If the project winds down, I delete the waitlist.

Your choices

You can ask me to show you what I hold, correct it, or delete it entirely at any time — just email hello@tendril.social and I'll take care of it. Every email I send will also include a way to unsubscribe.

Cookies & tracking

The signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly anti-spam check that looks at your browser and IP address to confirm you're a real person. It's there to stop bots — it's not advertising, and it doesn't follow you around the web.

Beyond that, the site doesn't currently use advertising or analytics cookies and there's no cross-site tracking. I may add privacy-respecting analytics once it launches (most likely Google Analytics or PostHog); if I do, I'll update this page. Any storage used is the minimum needed for the site to work.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update the date below. Since it's still early days, changes may happen as the product takes shape.
